We stopped in Geilo because of the way back to Oslo from Bergen. We knew nothing before arrival but we finally knew that it’s the great place for skiing.
After our arrival, we checked in at 7 or 8 pm but the staff still told us the necessary information. The room is spacious but the interior of the ground and underground are in progress of renovation. It will be better after it.
The breakfast was good with sufficient choices. We just explored Geilo after it by the recommendation from the passionate staffs who also lent us the equipments.
After the outdoor enjoyment, we had a coffee before our departure.
Overall, we must stay with them if we go to Geilo again.

It does require some effort and planning on your part as a boat is required to get there (about 1-2 hours ride depending on boat and conditions). "The breakfast was delicious! Our room was on the first floor, and the only slight downside was that the soundproofing wasn't great, so we could hear noise from next door. That said, it was otherwise a fantastic place to rest for a day in the middle of our Norway in a Nutshell trip."
